Organized by China Academy of Art and China Art Palace (Shanghai Art Museum), and hosted by China Academy of Art's School of Chinese Painting and China Academy of Art Art Museum, "Guanghua Dandan -- Chinese Academy of Art's School of Chinese Painting Exhibition" is the first systematic exhibition of Chinese painting in Jiangnan in the past hundred years. More than 200 excellent works from Lin Fengmian, Pan Tianshou, Huang Binhong to the latest Ben Shuo Bo Sheng have made an overall appearance for the first time.
As early as the establishment of the school, the Chinese painting major of the China Academy of Art has taken the responsibility of inheriting and spreading the excellent traditional painting art of the nation as its own, and has always adhered to the teaching concept of "compatible and inclusive" and "new tradition". In the course of nearly a century of teaching practice, he has accumulated rich experience in running schools and teaching, emerged many outstanding Chinese painting giants, and also cultivated a large number of Chinese painting reserve talents for the society, which can be said to be passed on from generation to generation.
Chinese art is not done yet. Chinese painting has always been not only a kind of painting, but also related to the inheritance and development of national culture. From the theory of self-knowledge around innovation and improvement, to the discussion on the function of national art under the background of discipline integration, and then to the discipline construction of deepening discipline theory, the poetic roots of "blending East and West" and the realistic roots of "traditional innovation" blend and grow together, and the "study of the roots" of mutual quality and mutual origin are deeply rooted in it, and Chinese painting is constantly refreshing itself in a firm and diversified way.
