Ink painting mainly uses rice paper

There are many types of Chinese paper, and ink and wash painting mainly uses rice paper. Rice paper is divided into raw and cooked rice paper. Water and ink on raw rice paper are easy to penetrate, and when they penetrate, they can produce rich changes in brush and ink. They are often used in the creation of freehand brushwork, while on cooked rice paper, water and ink are not easy to penetrate, and can be used for neat and meticulous depiction.
